About

Elise Som Design Studio is a New York based interior design firm whose focus is on creating high-end residential interiors and custom designed furniture. Elise Som draws inspiration from all corners of the globe. She approaches her designs with an understanding of her clients’ needs. Wherever her travels take her Elise is always on the lookout for pieces to create a richly layered experience.

Elise grew up in Paris, however her heritage includes Cambodia and India. She originally studied business at the Sorbonne and subsequently worked in the hospitality industry as an event planner. When Elise moved to New York she opened a flower studio in the west village. One of her clients, taken with her unique combination of flowers and colors, requested her input in the design of an apartment. Elise jumped in and thus began her foray into interior design. Elise rounded out her knowledge with studies in interior design at Parsons The New School and Fashion Institute of Technology.

Elise has worked on a number of high-profile residential projects. She splits her time between New York and London.
