The Ridge

The Ridge is constructed of thousands of wood “sticks”, bolted together like a giant stack of bicycle chains curving through the concert grounds. The curving wall is finished in a bright palette of glossy paint that will reflect the warmth of the Coachella Valley, the natural beauty of the San Jacinto Mountain range and the energy of the music festival. Throughout the day the wall provides a beautiful changing
pattern of shadows to shade the concert-goers and it provides a respite from the strong winds in the the Valley. Seats and lounging spots provide places to just chill along the wall, and little nooks are an opportunity to take a break from the crowd. At night, LED lights powered by small solar panels come on and turn the installation into a glowing projection experience.
