This community center design for the downtown of Champaign, Illinois acts to open up the ground level access to the community. By lifting the main gym space above an open gathering space, the structure defines a truly community space for the neighborhood, providing safety and shade for flexible uses. This project was designed with sustainable energy and programing options to increase efficiency and decrease operational costs.
