About

I have been working as a senior architectural and interior designer / project manager for the past five years and before that as research associate and instructor at UCLA, Computer Science Department.

I worked on design projects on four continents for major hospitality corporations, as well private owners. My involvement is consistently strong through every phase of the design and construction process to deliver a product that meets the specific needs of each client with creative and appropriate design solutions. I strongly emphasize the creative process, project management and client service, producing documentation that has received prices by owners and operators.

I offer outstanding team leadership, behavioral management, and conflict resolution skills. Exceptionally organized and disciplined, I possess well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and direct others in a supportive, cooperative team environment.

Some of my  experience and applicable skills include:

  • Conducting programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting and color coordination.
  • Developing innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, safe and reflective of client goals and within project budget.
  • Estimating material requirements and preliminary costs.
  • Renders conceptual design ideas and prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
  • Conducting client presentations.
  • Preparing, reviewing and updating documents during schematic design, design development phases.
  • Soliciting bids and assisting client in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of the materials, finishes, and furnishings required.
  • Responsible for keeping the project, or a phase of a project, on schedule.
  • Communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.
  • Supporting the Construction Administration phase responding to RFI's, CFA's, and reviews shop drawings.
