I have a real passion for Architecture which has been fueled by my time during work experience, participating in study trips abroad and reading at the University of Brighton.
On completing my Undergraduate degree, I have been exhibiting my work with my peers, and I am now looking for a Part I placement before continuing with my education in Architecture.
Foster + Partners, London, GB, Work Experience
During the summers of 2009/10 I spent four weeks at Foster + Partners producing a number of drawings and designs for a project in Riyadh. Throughout my placements I learned new computer software, participated in a number of internal and external meetings, and was inducted into the model making workshop. I found this experience to be a valuable insight into how firms work on scales as large as this.
Maber Architects, Nottingham, Work Experience
For two weeks in 2008, I completed two weeks work experience at Maber Architects who were at the time working on a project based at the Sixth Form I was studying at. Being able to observe the structure as it went up around me as well as speaking to the architects who had designed it illustrated how projects can go from paper to site, and how you may have to deal with problems even whilst it is being built.
Franklin Ellis Architects, Nottingham, Work Experience
For a week during the Easter break in 2007, I wanted to gain experience into what Architecture was and what an Architect does on a day to day basis. As my first work placement, I looked at a few different projects, and produced a variety of drawings with one of the partners.
