The Center is designed to promote collaboration and creativity and to develop technologies that improve Altria's operating companies' current products and lead to innovative new products. A state-of-the-art R&D laboratory/office facility totals approximately 450,000 SF including structured parking. The Center. located in downtown Richmond in the Virginia Biotechnology Research Park, is home to 500 scientists, engineers and support staff and has amenities such as a fitness center, cafeteria, company store, collaborative atrium, library, lecture hall, outdoor plaza and community green space. The Center was formerly known as the Philip Morris USA Center for Research & Technology.
