CREATIVE COMMONS is a collection of physical and written work in reference to the current state of contemporary architecture and architectural practice in relation to mass media and digital culture. The thesis focuses on the latent potentials of online communities and file sharing as applied to participatory space, bottom-up organizations, and discursive group action. The thesis manifests itself in the THINKtank FACTORY project based in NYC, New York.

The FACTORY creates a platform for ideas, critical thought, and collective action, aimed at challenging existing infrastructures. The project relies on transformable and expandable spaces to encourage user interaction, community sharing, and appropriations of space.
