In the heart of Detroit, a building was to be erected that combined the need for modern, fair-priced residential living spaces, and the contemporary design of a hydroponic farm. How the two would interact with each other was entirely up to the designer. The design creates a U-shape enveloping the farm with the glass exposing the farm and the hallways of the residential space to the ever-present southern sun creating a natural lighting effect and allowing the farm to receive the nutrients. The glass space also allowed the residents to look down on the green below them as well as outside into the beautiful city of Detroit.
