About

I am a highly motivated, well-rounded, and curious person. I am interested in everything which is why I am so passionate about architecture; because it is for everyone. I have held many part-time jobs as a student at University of Florida. I worked at the Harn Museum of Art on campus in the gift shop while classes were in session for last 3 years. Working at the Harn gave me the opportunity to be involved in the art community of Gainesville not only when the museum was open regularly but also when the museum was hosting performances, conferences, and family related activities. When school was not in session I painted children’s nursery wall murals in Naples and I had a small eby referral.

One of my favorite topics in contemporary architecture is the issue of historic preservation. In upper division architecture I was invited to take some graduate level historic preservation classes by the program director, as the only undergrad. I became really interested in the direction that historic preservation is going in the Florida on the city planning level and how those views may differ from the views of the architect. I decided the best way to get involved was to intern at both ends. Last summer I interned with the city of Gainesville’s historic preservation planning department and I interned for 12 weeks in Naples for a local architect. I also spent the last 4 months at University of Florida’s study abroad program in Vicenza, Italy where we explored as class adaptive reuse and preservation throughout Europe. Europe’s building reuse and preservation laws are not as restrictive and are much more in the favor of the architect than the laws for preservation in America.

Speaking specifically of my education in the school architecture, my curriculum was focused on digital fabrication and final product development. I have a lot of experience with 3D modeling programs such as Rhino, Revit, and SketchUP. I am very experienced in producing final product for client presentation. In addition to my design skills, I have lots of experience in sales, customer service, and business.
