A community centre at the edge of a park 2012.

Placed between a bustling urban environment and forested park- land, the community centre creates a threshold between contrast- ing conditions. Contained in one volume, the interior programs are stacked to allow for a small footprint. The scheme utilizes compli- mentary functions arranged along dual axes, with athletics running east to west and social programs aligned north to south.This or- ganizational layout draws connections between exterior and interior programs.
