My name is Carla Sanchez Gonzalez and I'm from Guatemala City. I studied at Savannah College of Art and Design where I achieved my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Architecture and Masters of Architecture.
I moved to New York City in 2015 to start working as an entry level architect and am now Project Director at Christian Lahoude studio located in Chelsea, Manhattan.
I am a well-rounded designer with professional experience in architecture, interior, landscape and furniture design. I like to explore all facets of the design process, from macro to micro. As such, my designs are derived from careful research, multi-disciplinary collaboration and consideration for the human experience.
I plan to continue to further my knowledge and become a licensed architect.

•Project director for the studio. Work with principal on different scale projects from schematic design through design development and construction touching on all aspects of the project.
•Responsibilities include: client interactions, presentations, construction drawings, DOB and Landmark filling, bidding, special details, prototyping, 3D modeling and rendering. Learned how to manage client expectations, review team process drawing and shop drawings, coordinating and communicating with structural, meachanical, electrical engineers, lighting designers, and numerours vendors and suppliers. •Acquired knowledge of high end interior design with specialization in Jewerly store design and visual merchandising.
•Business development: Development and drafting of client proposals and negotiations. Working with finance team to determine profitability of projects.
•Human Resources: Hiring Manager role which includes review of resumes and portfolios, interviews, hiring and training for Intermediate, Junior, and Intern level architect or interior designers.
