ARE Day 001: The Start of My ARE

    Hi Archinect,

Now that I am 25 (almost turning 26!), I am finally getting ready to take the ARE! I still haven't finished my IDP, but some of the states allow you to take the exams concurrently with your IDP hours - so check before you apply. I always felt like there was something missing since I graduated, like it's not complete until I become licensed. So after two years of hard work, it's about time! So here it begins...

More about the registration process after the break.

    • I think my recent blog post will be very helpful to you as I have just completed what you are now starting. You can post questions there if you have any. Check it out here: http://registeredarchitect.blogspot.com/?m=1

I agree with your points. Good job in getting started. I attained my license and in the 2.5 yrs it took me, I had two children with my wife. Life does happen. Hope things go well with your start.

You blog posts are very helpful! It makes me want to push myself more when I see someone like you finishing the exams even with kids and a wife.  It's actually very impressive! I will definitely ask you if I have any question down the road. Hope your licensed architect life go well too.
