Hi Archinect,
I love emoji faces. I love to send them, I love to receive them, and I love to make little scenes with them. So does my boyfriend, Drew Harry. So much so that we've been working on a little side project called me-moji.com. It's a website where you can browse people's attempts at making emoji (emoticon) faces, then try your own and add them to the gallery.
These are emoji:

And here is the me-moji.com gallery:

When you click on "add your face," you go to the photo booth, where you can take your picture. (You need to be on a computer with a webcam. Sorry, this part doesn't work on iPhones or iPads.)

Play around with the photos! You always have the option to retake (i.e. discard) or share (approve) the photo, before it's added to the gallery. So don't be shy.

If you do a full run of all 19 emoji faces, you are rewarded with a souvenir...

Check it out! And let us know what you think.
Thanks for reading!
Lian
P.S. Shout out to some of our favorite emoji art and artists:
Willem Van Lancker, the RISD grad who designed Apple's emoji font.
Fred Benenson's Emoji Dick, which is Moby Dick translated into emoji by Amazon's Mechanical Turks.
Twitter's #emojiarthistory.
This classic from Aziz Ansari.
My own "my world in emoji" tumblr.
And the Fuck Yeah Emoji tumblr.
Lectures and exhibitions, life in the trays, happenings around Cambridge...and once in a while, some studio and course work. Please note that all live blogs are abridged and approximate. If you want to see exactly what happened, in most cases a video of the event is posted online by the event's hosts. If you have concerns about how you are quoted, please contact me via Archinect's email.

So, this is what happens when a PhD from Harvard and a PhD from MIT get together?
Love it! 👻
Haha, thanks Paul! Yeah, I guess that's the result. 🙈
