    "I want Clifton Forge to be a gem in the middle of the rough."

    Last Friday our studio had the opportunity to meet with the community of Clifton Forge at the Clifton Forge School of the Arts. We conducted a series of interviews, through which we learned about the history of the town and listened to their thoughts about the proposed amphitheater project. This new information will allow us to understand and incorporate the town's concerns and aspirations as we enter into the design phase of the project.

About this Blog

The design/buildLAB at Virginia Tech is a Project Based Experiential Learning program focused on the research, development and implementation of innovative construction methods and architectural designs. Students collaborate with local communities and industry experts to conceive and realize built architecture projects that are both educational and charitable in nature.
