    Summer?

    ichweiB Aug 6 '07 6

I haven't posted anything in a while, but not much as been going on-well, that isn't true, I think it is just something we all like to say even if when we stop and think about it, much has actually happened and is about to happen.

I taught summer discovery with about 10 others which was a lot of fun. It's great to see younger kids with talent come up with interesting things.

In addition to teaching, I primarily cranked out renderings for various companies-you know...the good ole radiosity interiors that look more or less cartoonish despite their overused title "photorealistic."

The summer has been somewhat frustrating in regard to the following year. I am suppose to* go to Vienna for my final year and work in the Prix Studio at the University of Applied Arts. Everyone is on vacation and we haven't gotten the final "go ahead" yet. Apparently, it's this way every year-because our school's schedules are so different, timing isn't easy. So, my wife is waiting patiently until she can officially put in a letter of resignation-kind of scarey. So, hopefully it'll all work out.

I worked on my portfolio, dabbled in Maya and I really need to get better in Rhino. I spent more time playing with flash and dreamweaver and I built a website portfolio for myself. Check it out: michaelhunton.com
I am sure there are plenty of people on here that cane make one much better, but I am learning so we'll see how it goes. I am interested in keeping it as a portfolio/blog for myself to update as I progress(or regress) in my work.

      labyrinth is spelled L A B Y R I N T H

i realize most archinectors don't think spelling is important when posting, but at least for a web-site, you should take the time to spell-check.

I think the ability to have an ongoing critique and discussion of ideas through the internet is a great resources for designers, architects, etc...my interest in starting an online portfolio was a way I felt like I could contribute to it-the same with a website like archinect
