Whats going on out there. Finally I have a few hours that I can spend thinking and relaxing now that the case studies and gallery installations are done. Not much interesting is going on along the home front however. School's in full swing, no suprise there, I don't really know whats going on with my crit though. Having the coordinator as a professor is a blessing and a curse. He's really good definitly knows what he's talking about, but that's only when he is there which has been very minimally so far. Some how we've made it to week 3 without a desk crit, I know I'm doing work but I really can't figure out what I've done so far.
This last monday the lecture series myself and some other APX brothers started kicked off with David Hawk. For those of you who don't know the man I'll put it this way. He is an architect who hates architects. He rebels aganist the whole school of thought surronding American architectural education and practice. He's been teaching at NJIT for a long time, and now he's the dean of the school of management. You basically have to be a senior to get into one of his classes because they fill up so quickly. He has a wild life and even wilder stories, and really makes you think about the process that your going through while your in school, instead of having you just go through the motions. Well anyway he started the series and it went very well minus some technical difficulties that will be worked out for the next one. if you didn't make it you should definitly check out Yutaka's lecture on OCT. 2. Can someone say floating chairs from the ceiling in the 40/40 Cliub?
The gallery installation I've been working on for the last few weeks finally finished up last week and is being constructed in the Kunstmuseum in Chemintz, Germany. It's pretty good if your in the area for whatever reason you should check it out. The pictures that were published so far are below, but I'll add more when construction is finished.
Well time to head over to HOBOKEN for the Notre Dame game. Hopefully they put an ass whoopin' on Mich. St like that got last week.
