Another model...
Here's the next model. From this I've started making it in 3D Studio Max. Hopefully the next step is use the Max model as a template to make a more accurate wooden model.

I'm currently in negotiations with some very helpful people who run a laser-cutting service in town. Apparently it shouldn't be too expensive. Fingers crossed, and all that.
