    Getting kicked out

When you think about getting kicked out usually you had a good night. Closing down a bar all drunk and rowdy with your friends. All heading to Penn Station getting ready for the drunk LIRR train ride home.

In this instance it is a little different. When the building isn't open 24 hours or if it starts to snow, we are all going home. That is right, the Security guards have to come up to Ed Hall and kick all the archi's out of the building. It is funny to walk out with everybody mumbling curses under their breath, carrying all their studio materials. Actually a couple of times the guards had to call the cops. Though kicking us out isn't the smartest thing, it is their job. We are a commuting school so we have to drive home in the snow or dead tired. Don't kill the messenger guy's.

I am screwed for studio on Tuesday

Wow...a studio that closes down, that's unheard of!

Our studio NEVER closes down...not even between semesters!!

I know for sure I would get hauled off to jail by the Chicago P.D. if the public nusience staff here tried to kick me out of Crown. Public Nusience usually comes through the building at 7-8am and wakes-up all the people sleeping on the couches in the basement, even though they have been told repeatidly by the Dean not to disturb sleeping students in Crown Hall. I did almost get hailed off one morning telling one of them to get a life and realize they have a job because we pay tuition, and maybe they should be more concerned with the crake heads that wonder onto campus and pester and threaten us.

      Wow you have couches!?!?

We have hard as hell aluminum benches everywhere (probably designed by an architect), some students sleep across three task chairs lined up. (A dicey proposition, due to rolling casters.) I usually opt for the floor with a camping crash pad. That 1/4" of inflatable cushion makes a big difference!
