    PB&J

    By Thom Moran

Last night I ate a PB&J that was made with a piece of basswood because we had no butter knives. (no, i did not eat basswood, but the peanut butter and jelly were applied to the bread with basswood). If you are wondering what it tasted like, imagine the smell of laser cut basswood. mmm... basswood.

This project went well. I used the two of the three CNC mills for the first time which was a great experience. At first they are intimidating, but fairly straitforward after you use them a few times. Being down in the basement in the middle of the night with two CNC mills whirring away while you try to model the next piece in rhino will drive you insane, though. The white concrete walls, fluorescent lights and buzzing machinery made me feel like I was in a sci-fi movie from the sixties.

    Photos soon!

Hey Phaedrus, is that you on the Autodesk Revit add, sitting in your drafting chair, smiling, thinking of the good ol' days in Los Angeles?

Good to hear from you on the school blog again thommy. Good luck this semester, and you should give your buddy kevin an email sometime soon.
