      Unreinforced Masonry that survived a Magnitude 9.5 earthquake even after centuries of NON-MAINTENANCE. Incredible !

      Just a little note about Machu Picchu. Beautiful masonry and views.

      You only wish you're reinforced masonry would perform equally as well.

      been there twice, some of those assemblies have pieces 30'x40'x15' with no gaps between them. Also, no mortar. Pieced together 1000 years ago, no roads. stopped trying to figure it out long ago.
