Education

University of Missouri - Columbia, Columbia, MO, US, Bachelors, Interior Design

I started at the University of Missouri as a journalism major, after going through two year of study I realized my passion is in arts and design. I started experimenting with different fields, ranging from hotel restaurant management to photography. It was not until the spring of 2011 that I realized that my true passion lies within interior design and creating inspiring spaces for people.
The interior design program at the University of Missouri focuses on sustainable, enviromental behavior and interactive design. The undergraduate goal of the Architectural Studies department includes: The terminology and fundamental principles (e.g., function and purpose, utility and economy, form and style, and concept and meaning) of art and design; Theories of design and how design relates to human behavior; Characteristics of both standard and sustainable materials and practices for use in design and construction; Appropriate laws, codes, regulations, standards (including Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design—LEED), and practices that protect the health, safety, and welfare of clients and the public; Foundational principles of business and professional practice; Three-dimensional, computer-aided design software and animation systems to display and communicate architectural and interior design.
