Captions is a digital-first publication offering detailed and critical commentary on drawings previously published in the Archive. The Draftery invites a guest critic to select and comment on a set of drawings according to a theme they find relevant to architecture today. Calling attention to the elements of their rhetorical force, eachCaption takes drawings out of context, lays them down on a dissection slab, and makes a detailed analysis of their parts and techniques.

Cap.01 features Hans Tursack as our inaugural Captioner and drawings by Hugh McEwen, Peter Jellitsch, and David Lemm.
