In cooperation with Adam Panek and the Interior Masters Group, a design and build company, I
prepared a series of renderings and shop drawings for a reading room in Brooklyn, New York.
The client was interested in creating an elegant, traditional look in a room intended for reading,
contemplation and meditation. The existing space, though small, was lit by a skylight as well as a wide, bright window. This allowed us to use mahogany and other rich dark wood finishes to create a classic and warm atmosphere in the room. Traditional paneling and a centrally-situated fireplace furnished the library. The rear wall was designed as a paneled partition, allowing a once in a year connecting the room with a dining space for Passover.
I’ve also worked on other interior renovation projects for the Interior Masters Groups, including designing vanities and cabinets, living room paneling and ceiling design.
