About 

Nicholas Anastasopoulos, PhD is an architect, researcher and academic, co-founder and programs coordinator of the not-for-profit organization, TREE.

Areas of research and action include local communities and eco-communities, man-made urban and natural environments interactions, degrowth, sustainability, systems and complexity theories. Current inquiry involves systems thinking as a means towards understanding human societies and achieving sustainability. Experience combines the unique convergence of an architect's training with many years of eco-communities research in several countries in Europe, the US, Israel and NZ and management of a sensitive natural national park environment.

Extensive teaching experience, Parsons School of Design, Patras University, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and research experience, Visiting Scholar, University of Auckland,NZ. Candidate PROMETEO Researcher, Ecuador.
