David Curtis registered the DBA Apparatus in Clark County, Nevada in November 2004. The first project was a collaboration with Desert Space Foundation on a proposal for the Flight 93 Memorial.
January 2007, he secured a residential design license for Nevada and began practicing as the firm name: Apparatus.
Apparatus occupied a studio on Commerce Street, pursued design, documentation projects and hosted art shows.
Apparatus hosted the Yellow Wallpaper by Sherie Pierce & a photography show by Richard Rasner.
Apparatus was a short listed public artist for the Las Vegas City Hall.
In 2011 David relocated to the SF bay area.
