About

Anna Drescher is a Miami-based designer and a Master of Architecture graduate from Florida International University. She moved to Miami five years ago from Reading, Pennsylvania. Recently in her studies, Anna has completed a wide range of exhibitions and competitions throughout South Florida. She is committed to  giving back to her architectural and educational community and has served in many leadership positions for Alpha Rho Chi, Architecture for Humanity and Tau Sigma Delta.

After being awarded first prize in a competition to save the Old Seven Mile Bridge in Marathon, Florida she has had the opportunity to work with various support groups along side city commissioners to further the development of the adjacent park. This competition was the beginning to Anna's interest into sustainable, urban and community-concious designs.

Throughout Anna's final year of her M.Arch degree she worked to  further study her interests in South Florida ecology and the repercussions of sea level rise on a coastal city.

This fall she is completed design-build project through FIU with Oleta State Park to support the vast ecology  present in a narrow section of the park using a pervious concrete made of petrified Melaleuca trees.
