About 

Andy Lackow, a traditionally trained artist has achieved national recognition creating award winning 3D / CGI illustration and animation for the advertising, publishing, entertainment, interactive and Internet based industries. Originally an airbrush illustrator using traditional media, he uses 3D Studio Max / Mental Ray, LightWave 3D, ZBrush, Sculptris, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign . Andy imbues clients' concepts with imaginative solutions; he is a highly creative problem solver who creates visual magic on demand - and on time.

Scholastic, New York, NY, US, Concept Sketch Artist

This was a freelance on and off site assignment for Scholastic. I was asked to come up with concepts for visual themes for an educational computer math game for children. I created concept sketches in pencil and in Photoshop. I rendered a 3D version of the concept chosen for presentation to an in-house focus group. The assignment was completed over the course of 3 days.

I modeled a scene depicting a proposed trade show booth for a prospective pharmaceutical client and created a 2 minute walk-through animation for a business pitch.

I created the 2 minute animation clip based on direction from the Digital ACD and CD and delivered it on time for an account group & client meeting on the West Coast, from start to finish within 36 hours over the course of 3 days.
