Light and Shadow Outdoor ArtSpace

Spatial Landscape
Light and Shadow Study

The objective of this project was to create an open space structure inspired by five fixed shapes: semi-circle, rectangle, L-shape, square, and equilateral triangle. Each single shape
needed to give the experience of contained space. Afterwards the shapes were connected to form a continuous environment. The final design solution was modeled digitally and physically. A limitation placed on the physical model was a set color scheme- gray on the ground plane, white for verticals, and black for overhead structures and planes. The resulting design was an open-air art and sculpture museum with vegetative and concrete walls. The concrete walls were designed for installation art to be directly painted onto the wall surface.
