About

After graduating with honors in 1997 I began my career in Los Angeles, the youngest person ever hired at Gensler, as an architectural designer.  Two years later I moved to New York and enjoyed many years designing and managing projects with the firms KPF, Polshek Partnership (Ennead) and Bruce Bierman Design.  For a year I explored retail design and took the role as Store Development and Planning Associate for Theory retail providing accurate design roll-out and brand management of all built projects from inception to opening day.  During this decade, I volunteered with various non-profits in fundraising and event management, Volunteerism and Special Events Direction (2003) and Development Management (2004) in New York City.  Between 2005 and 2009 I produced work under my name in the areas of residential, commercial and hospitality design in Los Angeles, New York and Russia.

Spring of 2010, when my daughter was nearing two years old, I looked in the D.C. area for a kind of creative, design / architecture or building class for her to attend.  Unable to find one that had the focus and depth I was searching for, my direction became clear.  In Fall of 2010 I provided my first class to the local community.  I have since enjoyed many years of success in teaching S.T.E.A.M. education to children ages 2 - 14.  Currently I provide special events in the Silver Spring, MD and Washington D.C. communities.
