The typography house is a self-directed two-week study on the aesthetic of typography, and the subtle differences between various typographies.
In viewing the different fenestrations, bowls, serifs, ears, and tails of various serif fonts, "Georgia" was selected for its spacious design cues, which can be utilized in plan as livable space.
These design cues taken from typography are then collaged together, using letters and numbers; specifically: A, U, G, 5, and S.
The site contains a drastic topography change, lending to a split-level home design. A different materiality was employed for each unique letter of the "Georgia" typeface. This home is intended as a getaway home for a young couple seeking to retreat into the mountains.
