Neighborhood Transit Hub

The plan is to address public transportation system in concert with existing and/or reconfigured streets with the purpose to create better spaces that allow more effective engagement with the street and adjacent businesses. This project design will explore beneficial economic, social and environmental impacts in the city of Tijuana that will enhance the lives of the city’s populace and others entertain investment in Mexico. Concepts related to megacities, urban and population growth, as well as social, economic, environmental and infrastructure issues are the crux of this project. The thesis will analyze the existing site in Tijuana, México; and redesign the transportation systems and the infrastructure with the goal of alleviating major problems related to traffic congestions, pollution, noise and mainly disconnection between the adjacent buildings and the main vehicular artery. My propose is to address how the transportation system can change to better fulfill public needs; and specifically in the realm of architectural intervention   by   creating   connections, and   adjacencies   that allow better pedestrian movement and vehicular rand rail traffic.
