A prison in the pacific ocean, lying in the middle of the shipping lanes that connect the port of Longbeach and Los Angeles to the rest of the world. The concept is an inverted speaker, that connects the prisoners within the secured prison to the exterior via funnels that direct air and sound into the central courtyard. Public linking programs intersect within the central space to create a more fluid experience within the prison walls. The idea is to rehabilitate, not incarcerate with the belief that greater social interaction and connection to the exterior atmosphere, would create the ideal environment for a new ocean prison.
