Green Country Sustainability Forum Low-Impact Development Competition, 1st Place

1Architecture teamed up with DRM Design Group and Sanders Engineering to develop a low-impact solution for development and beatification of East 6th Street in Tulsa. Our winning entry proposed not only environmentally sensitive solutions, but also aimed to create a more socially and economically sustainable plan for the future.

ULI Hines Student Design Competition, Honorable Mention

Our entry, entitled "The Veranda: A Front Porch for Downtown Houston" aimed to strike a balance between a viable financial development, best water and land use practices, and sustainable living.

We received the First Place Honorable Mention (fifth place overall).

The team consisted of three undergraduate architecture students, an MBA student, and a graduate student in urban planning. As one of the three undergraduate students, I served as the team's leader. Our team was the highest placing team in the competition to include undergraduate students.

ARCC King Student Medal for Excellence in Architectural and Environmental Design Research, Award

Awarded for design research guided by Dr. Stephanie Pilat. The culmination of this research is a paper entitled "The Afterlife of Rural Studio Projects," which examines the successess and failures of the Rural Studio and how they may inform service-oriented Architecture.

Robert B. Newman Student Medal: Excellence in Architectural Acoustics, Award

Awarded for the research of furniture as transformational acoustic wall panels and the design of a chamber music hall.
