Project in Introduction to Design Processes III exploring the spatial qualities of light through modular systems.
The project focused on an existing playground in Clayton, MO and a judicious modification of various site conditions, building upon the previous field module project through a process of finding ways for simple, modular systems to meet complex problems.
Using a system of slits, the inner structure of each module dictated its form and function through its adaptation and modification to the existing site. Canopies raise and inner structures unfold outwards to create various spaces.
