The Villiger Residence Hall

Saint Joseph’s University, The Villiger Residence Hall, Philadelphia, PA – [2008-2010 Architectural Designer] This 116,500 s.f. segregated students residence hall, consists of four story 413-bed mid-rise masonry structure. A central open communicating stairs focusing on campus major path leading to new Campus Library; And, emphasizes the intersection a corners of Cardinal and City Aves. Each wing end towers have study lounges for social activities. The building includes appropriate amenities for students while enhancing the aesthetics of the SJU campus. University-city based Campus Apartments LLC was the developer and project manager. PZS was the sole designer of this building which oversaw its construction. In conjunction with firm’s principals, I developed schematic site studies, building elevation studies and Tower designs for this strategic site. Presented design options to the SJU construction board. Until a final building tower design was approved.
