Nadel Architects, San Diego, CA, US, Project Architect & Team Leader

As a Team Leader (for their Commercial Division) and Project Architect we provided excellent service for our Commercial clientele. Of course this was about eight months before the market crash which certainly put a damper on things across the board. Time to look for new opportunities.

HMC Architects, San Diego, CA, US, Architect & Designer

Hired as a Project Architect in 1999, I was quickly promoted to a full-time Designer position when it became clear there was a need for experienced Designers in this San Diego satellite office of a larger architecture firm based in Ontario, California. I was promoted by and worked for Randal Peterson (FAIA), whom afforded me every opportunity to excel on several school (primarily K-12) project but also some Healthcare projects as well.

Education

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Pomona, CA, US, BArch, Architecture

Bachelor of Architecture degree obtained in 1989. As any architecture student knows your education is always dependent upon those design instructors whose design studio you decide to take. I consistently sought out the Architects/Instructors who were the most challenging, thought provoking and demanding. My senior year (fifth) I had Ming Fung as my instructor which was a focus of "Interior Architecture", trust me this was not to be confused as "interior Design". As expected it was challenging and I'm glad I stayed with her course of instruction - for that very reason.
