About

I am a graduate of the Woodbury University Architecture Program and I received my Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2001. I have 8 years of architectural experience, mostly in commercial and high-end residential architecture. A large portion of my work has been in office conversion and renovation. I have worked in both team environments and directly with principals in smaller firms and I am effective at both capacities.

I have detailed knowledge of current California Building Codes, construction types and ADA design requirements. I have experience in construction that began prior to architecture school and again from a design standpoint working with Berger Brothers. While working with Berger Brothers, I provided IPD documents and shop drawings for our portion of the framing, fire protection, gypsum board and exterior plaster work on several large scale projects including Kaiser Hospital in Fontana, CA, Disney's California Adventure Cars Land, and several schools for LAUSD.

I have spent most of my career working in the design and production of construction documents and coordinating design development and contract documents by consultants to complete projects on schedule and within budget. I work well with consultants in the coordination of project documents and have experience in tracking consultant work and checking for quality and accuracy prior to submission.

A lot of my experience has been in renovation and addition work. One of the last projects I designed was the Hip Hop School of Arts in the city of Pomona. It is a 16,000 square foot, two-story, type-IIIB building, originally designed as a bank. It's mostly an interior remodel with a small addition to make space for the restroom requirements based on the new occupancy and current code.

I am motivated and have a strong work ethic. I am a clear and concise communicator, with a professional demeanor and a knack for enrollment.

I would like to find a position that would allow me to explore my creative side.  I am a very creative person and a thoughtful designer.  However, the positions I have had throughout my career, so far, have mainly focus on construction documentation and detailing.  I am very good at this capacity and I have been told that I am a valuable asset by many of the company owners that I have worked for.  I would like to find a position that would allow me to be a part of the design process as well as provide my expertise in construction documentation.

Ultimately I would like to be a long term associate, or partner at a high-end, custom studio that specializes in all aspects of architecture.  That means, finding a firm or group of like minded architects who are not afraid of taking on anything that comes our way.  I have a passion for design and a drive to work as hard as needed to build something amazing.
