In December of 2002, Phillip accepted a position as project designer for D. A. LEVY & ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS; Fairlawn, Ohio and early on did roll-out for Urban, Anthropologie, Free People, Chico’s, Soma, & White House / Black Market stores - nationwide - as well as jewelry stores for Clark’s & Carlyle. Recently, Phillip was responsible for developing complex survey documents from field notes on multiple national sites including New York City for URBN / ANTHRO, REI, & CANADA GOOSE.

Phillip returned home to Ohio to assist his elderly parents in mid 1999, and took a position as Architectural Lead and IT Manager with DAVID L. SOMMERS, AIA, ARCHITECTS; Kent, Ohio. Phillip’s expertise oversaw a complete computer system upgrade and integration, installation of a new base operating system, new CAD, office, communications, graphic and backup software. Phillip trained staff in data organization and software use, managed daily system, backup, and security requirements, solved system problems, coordinated outside system consultants, and answered all staff questions.

While with DSA, Phillip produced contract documents for multiple PIZZA HUT upgrades, renovations, and new stores — statewide for HALLRICH INC., Kent, Ohio and produced design, development and contract documents for the 14,200 sf. HOME SAVINGS BANK – Kent, Ohio main office renovation, Phases 1&2, and the 22,500 sf. KENT AMERICAN LEGION POST # 496 as well as numerous installations and upgrades for SEA WORLD – ANHAUSER BUSCH & SIX FLAGS – WORLD OF ADVENTURE, Aurora, Ohio.

In 1998, Phillip returned to management as Design Studio Director for ETHERIDGE & ASSOCIATES, “Architects that Build.” Phillip was responsible for, systems, staff, 3D presentations, design, development, contract documents, and integration on commercial and retail up fits, renovations and rollouts, Jackson, Mississippi.

SWALM CHEMICAL ENGINEERING BUILDING at Mississippi State University, Starkville, Mississippi.
