Architecture/Landscape /Interiors at OTIS College of Art and Design seeks to contribute to the emergence of imaginative, contemporary practices through a synthetic curriculum of the spatial design fields: architecture (buildings), landscape (spaces between building) and interiors (spaces within buildings).
Students study all three fields within a single, sequential curriculum, focused on design empowered by technologies and theory. At the core of the curriculum are six comprehensive studio courses that combine or alternate between the related disciplines. Technologies + Ecologies courses focus on the materials and methods of building, landscape, and interior construction. Digital Media courses address digital communication skills (drafting, modeling, rendering, and fabrication). History + Theory courses provide the cultural and intellectual framework necessary for informed and articulate design proposals.
Founded in Los Angeles in 1918, OTIS College of Art and Design prepares students of art and design to enrich the world through their creativity, their skill, and their vision.
