Michael's career in the global Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry and technology sectors spans over 14 years. Semmen has led the company through business strategy, high profile sales, and client relationship management for notable organizations such as Shorenstein, Willson Meany Sullivan, Forest City Enterprises, Livingston Development, Prometheus Real Estate Group, Cooliris, and Broan-Nutone. Prior to forming ZUM, Michael was the founder of Screampoint LLC, a 3d/5d modeling and technology company. As of Spring 2008, Michael sold Screampoint to a Sequoia Capital funded company. Prior to founding Screampoint, Michael was a designer and project manager at KMD Architects and focused exclusively on large scale corporate and master planning projects. Prior to Joining KMD, Semmen worked as a design intern at Northwest Architectural Company. Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Washington State University with studies in Copenhagen, Denmark at the Royal Academy.
