Mugello Grandstand

The new main grandstand of Mugello’s car racing circuit presents itself as a sculptural element side by side to the existing assistance offices and box. From a composition stand point, the structure is defined by a group of reinforced concrete prefabricated elements supported by a frame with a branched geometry to support the flat cantilever roof. Functionally speaking, the structure is crossed by tracks laid down on the ground and it contains two paired grandstands with the larger one facing the straight course and the other facing the two main bands, conducive to dual visibility to the viewers.
This all is completed by a protected area with glazed windows and put to use as hospitality and restaurant, bridged over to the existing structure by a light gangway.
