Allianz

Allianz Global Investors hired GKV Architects in 2010 to design their new headquarters in New York City.  The six floor lease (41st–46th floors) provides Allianz with approximately 300,000 RSF of space.  The office floors were designed with a standard hierarchy of two and three bay offices at the perimeter, and open workstations occupying the rest of the interior.  To maximize the natural light, full height glass office fronts allow sunlight to brighten the open work area.  Open pantries create a casual gathering space.  The 42nd floor houses the conference center on the north side of the floor.  Finishes such as marble floors and maple wood walls make for a modern and serene atmosphere.  On the south side of the floor, the cafeteria is a lively space with colorful carpet tile and bright furniture pieces.  The ceiling is a glossy stretch fabric that reflects the light from the vintage inspired glass chandeliers.
