A Pavillion

This pavilion was designed without limitations and not to scale. The objective was to design a pavilion based on a sketch of a clay cup we created in our first MFA-1 Qualifying Workshop class. We then had to edit our model to make it a functional space and then assign a specific program to our model. This space would be set up in a rainforest environment to create a juxtaposition between the clean white geometrical figures and nature. This space is meant for meditation and reflection in an area of high elevation, perhaps on a mountain top. The space is also wheelchair accessible. The design of this pavilion takes natural light and shelter from the rainforest environment into consideration.
