Students were charged with task of designing an airport for a small, yet growing city on the edge of the Cascade Mountain Range near Vancouver. The airport is an important gateway to the city and the large surrounding summer and winter activities. The open plan with sweeping leisurely circulation patterns and high vaulted ceilings take on the character of the snowy mountain community. While the delicate white surfaces of the space remind the user of the semipermance of the snow-covered context.
