Topography Analysis: The thermal acoustics and qualities of the site were in this diagram. The range of colors determines the density of the spaces which allowed me to arrange the program accordingly.
The concept design is based on the acoustic qualities of the spaces. Following the same fluidity depicted out of the thermal site analysis, the design emerges naturally from the ground bleeding out of and dissolving back into the surrounding landscape like a fish in the sea. The use of a network of paths allows a transition space between the public and private area. As the structure winds through the site, the architecture builds up in height and depth.
The building is made out of reflective metal and has a specific façade treatment to it. Similar to sheets of music, I have designed parametric louvers that intersects the wall of the façade where light should come in, and that makes the architecture blend in with the topography in a rhythmic way.
The whole follows the idea of layers, layering the rhythmic quality of music from the construction of the physical model to the layout of the 3 main volumes that follow the fluidity of my site, of my own personal imaginary site.
