Management Plan

This management plan proposes a phased retreat away from government funding for Hillsborough Park, Sheffield. A new parks trust  will orchestrate its management providing immunity to future government spending cuts.

The park will be a canvas for community focused activity and a base for local enterprise; a tool for economic regeneration in Hillsborough. Recommendations put forward regarding the parks vegetation management are time and cost effective. There is a focus on developing the coherence and depth of habitats for ecological value and for sensory interest. There is also a focus on using and developing local skills.

The plan is phased over 5 years running from January 2013 until December 2017.
