Thesis Design 9 Final

In the initial master plan study, this region was designated to be a point of destination that would contain entertainment and shopping. Which would help stimulate the surrounding development. The building was pushed to the edge of the street with a 20 foot side to be pedestrian welcoming with tree buffer the street traffic noise. While the interior space will open to the element with overhead shading provided by shading devices and trees on the second green courtyard. The interior courtyard was designed to be a nature oasis from the busy life of US 441. On the ground level is commercial retail space. With an anchor store ”Macy’s” at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and US 441. On the south side a cinema would be place anchoring the rear. In between would be boutique retail stores. The second level would be a lush green space where people come to interact and enjoy the surrounding amenities. While the third level would be commercial office space. This will promote a work and play environment. The site is designed to attract the local and commuting residents. And bring need economic stability to the region.
