Newington Volunteer Ambulance

Situated at the corner of Constance Leigh and John Stewart Drives this building predominates the surrounding area becoming a focal point as well as an observation post at the same time. Our goals were to meet the day-to-day needs of  Newington’s Volunteer Ambulance Department while, at the same time, create an attractive design for which the Town of  Newington could be proud. This new facility provides the Volunteer Ambulance Department with three ambulance bays, a meeting room, office, lounge, kitchen facilities, bunk room and full shower/ toilet rooms. The building location permits easy access to and from the building in emergencies, allowing the volunteers to provide fast service to Newington’s residents.   Skylights, glass block and a rear deck allow natural light into the building and a pleasant place for the volunteers to relax between calls.
