Masuk High School

2004

Additions and renovations to the building (as well as to the site and athletic fields) brought this school facility to “as new” condition. The 20,000 SF addition included  13 new classrooms, a culinary arts program and a child development center.  The existing facility was reconfigured to minimize new construction and accommodate increased enrollment.  The main office, guidance & nurses area, and teacher work rooms were reconfigured and enlarged to accommodate the personnel increase. The auditorium was redone and enlarged to seat 800, and outfitted with a 200 seat handicap accessible balcony, orchestra pit, cat walks, full stage house fly area and state-of-the-art lighting & sound systems. The lunchroom & serving areas were also enlarged.  The gym received a new floor and bleachers, and all associated spaces, including the pool, were completely refurbished. All HAZMATS were removed from the building & it received a new roof, bringing the entire facility into code conformance to meet fire & building, A.D.A., Federal 504 & other applicable codes.  All MEP was renovated, and a fully addressable A.D.A. compliant fire alarm system was installed throughout the facility.
