I have over 35 years of experience in the architectural and structural engineering fields. I have detailed structural concrete projects from large high-rise buildings, to a nuclear sub base/museum in Groton Ma. Although my degree is in architecture from SUNY @ Buffalo, I also have structural design capabilities as I have worked for structural engineers as much as I have worked for Architectural firms. In short, I can produce both architectural and structural drawings equally well. I have used Autocad for over 25 years now and I look forward to what the next generation of software will bring to the field.
Although I have a long span of experience, I look forward to working for another 15 years or so. I am one of those people who actually enjoy what I do for a living and can't picture myself retiring until I no longer feel I can contribute. There is nothing better than working within a team group, to accomplish a design goal. I have always enjoyed the people I've worked with over the years, and still stay in contact with a good portion of them, as we get together socially to catch up.
After raising my (3) children by myself for the better part of the last (20) years, I am still motivated to sit for and acquire my architects license. I have been registered in New York and thru NCARB to sit for the exam. I would hope to continue my career and contribute my experience as an integral part of a design team.
